One last winter night
They say that spring will come this weekend with mild southern winds. I took the opportunity to suck out the last of the winter and slept the night which was under the sky out in the woods. I guess the temperature crept least to minus ten to fifteen Celsius.
Early in the evening I heard an owl.
Everything becomes difficult when to play outdoor through cold winter nights. Collect fir twigs to bed in the snow, dual sleeping mat, uncouth dress, gather firewood to have the evening and tomorrow morning, stamp up a cozy seat and dig down to the ground for the fire so it does not suddenly fall together by the snow cover and goes out, thaw water, keep miscellaneous batteries warm, take off ones outer clothes in the biting cold when it is time for the sleeping bag, take on the stiff frozen outer clothes again when to get up … etc..
Life is more comfortable at home.
A dozen male black grouses initiated early in the morning a half-hearted fight, and was soon off to other.
On the way home I stopped at the raindeer paddock, contained now a hundred reindeers. Several ravens apparently saw opportunity in this and created together with the reindeer an interesting sound scenery.
